My Annual Pass?
It's easy. When you get to the rental kiosk, ask a Wheel Fun Rentals employee for an Annual Pass. They can easily process your rental at the same time. When you become an Annual Pass holder, you'll get an extra half hour added to your rental the day you join, and 50% off all your rentals thereafter for a year.

Learn About This Tour
This self-guided bike tour, starting from our location at
Carolina Beach, gives riders the opportunity to visit and learn about some important
Civil War sites, among other historic sites at Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and
Fort Fisher. Ride along some of the same routes that U.S. Civil War troops used
more than 100 years ago.
Your first stop after leaving our location is the Beach
Landing, which was used as a landing spot for Union troops in 1865. Other stops
on this tour include Carolina Beach Elementary School, the site of the Carolina
Beach Hotel Fire in 1928, the Kure Beach Post Office, where Union troops
defended their position in 1865, the Fort Fisher Civil War Site, Military Ocean
Terminal Sunny Point, home of the largest ammunition port in the nation, and

What's included on my tour?
Our self-guided tours include your choice of bicycle, a route map with all the great points of interest and historic facts about the area, a helmet, bike bag or basket, and a bike lock. Plus, our rental clerks are happy to help you select the perfect bike for your adventure.
What do I need to bring?
We have your ride and route covered - so all you need to bring are comfortable clothes and shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, and your camera. And don't forget to bring some cash for lunch or a snack along the way! Bike bags/baskets are provided on all bikes for easy storage of items.

How long is the tour?
While on one of our self-guided tours, you can expect to be out exploring for 3 to 4 hours. This includes approximately 2 hours of riding time and 1 to 2 hours for lunch, shopping, photo opts, and exploring the area.
